ASICS Gel Kayano 14 ‘Tuna Blue’

Description

The ASICS Gel Kayano 14 ‘Tuna Blue’ features a layered upper that maintains the look of the 2008 original, created by Hidenori Yamashita and marking the first installment in the series to be conceived by someone other than legendary designer Toshikazu Kayano. The sneaker’s breathable mesh construction is bolstered by metallic silver overlays, adding to the concept of ‘flash’ that inspired Yamashita’s original vision for the shoe. Bright blue accents land on the tongue and heel, as well as the Gel inserts embedded in the EVA midsole.

• The GEL-KAYANO®️ 14 running shoe resurfaces with its vintage aesthetic and visible GEL®️ cushioning. Originally released in 2008, this version became the first iteration in the GEL-KAYANO®️ lineage to be designed by someone other than Toshikazu Kayano. This shoe improves the fit of the upper while retaining its classic layered leather and mesh construction.
• The GEL-KAYANO® 14 sneaker resurfaces with its late 2000s aesthetic as a nod to our storied GEL-KAYANO® series. Reinterpreting the shoe’s performance capabilities with updated materials and componentry, this version became the first iteration in the sneaker’s lineage to be designed by someone other than Toshikazu Kayano. Inspired by the original tooling from 2008, this shoe also features GEL® technology underfoot for advanced impact absorption.
